Reach and teach children

Children are the leaders of the future! We speak to enthusiastic school students around the world about a number of animal welfare issues. Topics such as responsible pet ownership, protecting animals from wildlife tourism and unsustainable traditional practices, and protecting sea animals from the suffering caused by lost, discarded or abandoned fishing gear, known as 'ghost gear'. Your gift could help bring vital animal welfare education into school curriculums.

We spoke to Year 7 students at Redcliffe High School in Brisbane about plastic pollution and ghost gear. It’s so important that this next generation is aware of the danger plastic pollution causes for sea animals. These students have the power to help make a real difference by moving away from single use plastics, such as straws and shopping bags, and helping raise awareness around ghost gear.
